The 1976-77 Serie A season was the 43rd season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. Seven teams participated in the league, and HC Bozen won the championship.

Season notes[]
HC Auronzo withdrew from the Serie A in September, prior to the start of the season.
On May 19, 1977, part of HC Valpellice's outdoor rink was submerged by flooding following heavy rainfall in the area. Mario Manfroi, who joined the club in 1973, was killed by the flooding. At his funeral, club president Cotta Morandini gifted his jersey to his family and retired his number 10 from active use.
